Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission seeks public comment on draft 2026-2031 Capital Plan
Every two years Ashland Parks & Recreation Commission (APRC) develops a capital improvement plan (CIP) to prioritize the capital projects and develop a capital budget. At the October 9, 2024, APRC regular business meeting the Commissioners approved piloting a CIP process that develops a capital budget (two year) and capital program (four year) and associated process for reviewing and adopting the CIP. The draft CIP is the culmination of the CIP process. The CIP identifies six types of projects, funding sources and fiscal years planned for the prioritized projects. The plan is resource restricted, meaning the CIP is limited by the forecasted revenues available for capital projects.
The APRC is requesting community members review the draft CIP (PDF) and provide comments until December 15, 2024. Comments can be made via:
- Email: Please place “APRC CIP” in the subject line
- Mail: 340 S Pioneer Street, Ashland, OR 97520 (must be postmarked December 15, 2024)
- In person at the December 4, 2024, APRC regular business meeting
All public comments will be reviewed, considered and documented in finalizing the CIP for review and approval by the APRC at the January 8, 2025, APRC regular business meeting.
For more information about the draft CIP please contact the Ashland Parks & Recreation Director, Rocky Houston via email or at 541.488.5340.
