Today, Tuesday, March 11, beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue through 2:00 p.m., the City of Ashland and Ashland Parks and Recreation will manage a controlled burn to consume burn piles on City-owned forest lands around Liberty Park.
You may see or smell smoke near the controlled burn around neighborhoods adjacent to Morton and S. Mountain Ave. Smoke from the burn is not expected to affect trails.
Predicted Smoke Impacts: Smoke will likely impact areas surrounding Upper Morton Street and S. Mountain Ave and adjacent neighborhoods around SOU and the high school.
