Today, August 25th, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for lightning storms that could ignite fires in our area. The City highly encourages everyone, and especially those people who live close to wildland areas, to have go-bags packed, vehicles fueled and stay in communication with family members. An evacuation could happen at a moment’s notice due to a new lightning fire, so being prepared is essential. This is a crucial time of the year for wildfire, it's the peak of seasonal drying, heat, and possibility for lightning and wind. Are your family, business, and all buildings ready for wildfire?
