About Ashland CERT

Ashland's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) was started in 1999 under Ashland Fire & Rescue as one of the earliest CERT programs to exist. CERT is a nationally recognized, locally implemented initiative that teaches people how to better prepare themselves through CERT Basic Training for hazards that may affect their communities.

Ashland CERT offers monthly training sessions to CERT members and the general public on the second Wednesday of every month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Ashland Fire & Rescue Station 2. CERT Training provides vital skills that people can learn to help themselves and their neighbors in times of trouble or in the event of natural disasters. When CERT is not activated, volunteers are in preparedness mode.

The CERT program also hosts the volunteer Wildfire Risk Assessment Program (WRAP) and Rapid Activation Team (RAT).
