Public Safety Fee
On May 6, 2025, City Council approved an increase from $1.50 to $5.00 to the Public Safety Fee through Resolution 2025-04. The monthly fee is charged to residents through utility bills and is used to fund emergency services.
Wildfire Risk Reduction Fee
Formerly known as the Ashland Forest Resiliency Fee, Council increased the Wildfire Risk Reduction Fee from $3.00 to $7.00 for most residents through Resolution 2025-08. The monthly fee is charged to residents through utility bills and will be used for wildfire reduction, safety, and mitigation, including creating wildfire defensible spaces around homes throughout the City.
NEW - Parks Fee
On May 20, 2025, City Council approved Resolution 2025-13 creating a Parks and Recreation Fee. The $5.00 monthly fee will be charged to residents through utility bills and will be used to help fund Parks and Recreation programs and services.
NEW - 3% Credit Card Processing Fee
With the approval of the Fiscal Year 2026 Miscellaneous Fees and Charges, the City Council approved a 3% credit card processing fee on all non-utility payments made with a credit card. There is no processing fee for payments made by check or cash.
