Ashland DEVO
Ashland DEVO
Ashland DEVO is a non-profit youth mountain biking organization dedicated to inspiring wellness, confidence, and connection in young riders. Through mountain biking, DEVO helps kids build grit, resilience, and camaraderie on the trails, on the roads, and in everyday life.
Founded in 2017, Ashland DEVO grew from a clear need for more local, youth-focused opportunities in mountain biking. In a world where kids are increasingly disconnected from the outdoors, DEVO’s approach is refreshingly simple: get outside, ride bikes, and learn by doing.
Mountain biking challenges both the body and the mind. It takes effort, determination, and problem-solving skills that grow with practice. DEVO programs encourage kids to face obstacles, work through fear, and build self-confidence along the way. Riders develop resilience they can carry far beyond the trail, along with a sense of ownership and respect for the places they ride.
At its core, Ashland DEVO is about community. Riders learn to work as a team, support one another, ride safely, respect the environment, and most importantly have fun while growing their skills together.
A Strong Community Partnership
Ashland Parks & Recreation has been fortunate to work with this amazing group of volunteers over the past several years. Each year, Ashland DEVO contributes over 150 volunteer hours from June through June maintaining trails throughout Ashland, as well as the Ashland BMX dirt jumps and ramps. Since June 2025 alone, Ashland DEVO volunteers have already contributed 82 hours to trail and BMX area maintenance.
Their ongoing stewardship helps keep these spaces safe, accessible, and welcoming for the entire community. We’re grateful for their continued dedication to youth, trails, and community, and we look forward to growing and strengthening this partnership for many years to come.
This is Ashland DEVO, and we’re glad they’re part of our community.
