Emergency Alerts, Stay Informed

We partner with Jackson County through a shared alert system, JACKSON ALERTS, powered by Everbridge. This system provides real-time emergency notifications and important community advisories, such as power outages, wildfire smoke alerts and more.

Why Sign Up?

Creating a JACKSON ALERTS account ensures you receive emergency notifications from both the City of Ashland and Jackson County. You’ll also be able to:

  • Choose how you're contacted (text, phone call, email)
  • Add multiple phone numbers or emails
  • Update your information anytime (e.g., change of address or phone)
  • Customize notification preferences

Important: As of March 2025, our alert system transitioned from Citizen Alert to JACKSON ALERTS. Here’s what you need to know.

How to Sign Up

Recommended Method (Full Access):
Create a JACKSON ALERTS account online:
Sign up for JACKSON ALERTS.

Prefer Text-Only Alerts from Ashland?

If you’d rather skip online registration or only want City of Ashland alerts (not County-wide):

  • Simply text 97520 to 888777
  • You'll receive a confirmation from JACKSON ALERTS
  • Note: This option limits you to text alerts from Ashland only (no County alerts)

Tip: Add 888777 to your phone contacts as "JACKSON ALERTS" and assign it a unique alert tone, even when your phone is on silent.

Landline and Email Users

If you use a landline or want to receive alerts via email or voice call, you must register online with JACKSON ALERTS.

Want More Control? Get the App

The app works with or without text alerts.

One Account Per Person Recommended

To stay truly informed, we recommend each adult and teen in your household create their own JACKSON ALERTS account. That way, everyone knows what’s happening and how to respond in an emergency.

Please remember, being "better prepared" means everyone in your family (adults and older children) should sign up for a personal JACKSON ALERTS account, so everyone knows what is happening.
