The Ashland Public Arts Advisory Committee (PAAC) seeks design proposals for painting three traffic signal boxes for the year 2025. Once completed, the chosen artworks will be added to the Ashland Public Art collection. This collection now has 62 artworks, including several traffic signal boxes, of which three were completed in 2024 by local artists.
PAAC’s goals for these designs include the following:
- Enhance our city's visual landscape for both residents and visitors.
- Incorporate community participation to increase appreciation for public art.
- Theme: Neighborhood Public Artworks, including both children and adults in their creation.
For questions about the Call for Artists proposal, including submittal help, please email or visit the Projects tab on the Public Arts Advisory Committee page, ashlandoregon.gov/PAAC for more information. Note that the deadline for artists to email their design proposals to the City is 4:30 p.m. on June 23, 2025.
