Burn season is currently open
Prior to burning in the city of Ashland:
- Call the Jackson County burn line 541-776-7007 to confirm it is a burn day.
- Confirm that the location of the proposed burn is within the city limits served by Ashland Fire & Rescue and that this is your designated fire department. If you are in Fire District #5's service area, please visit jcfd5.com.
- Complete the following burn permit form on the same day burning will occur.
- A new form must be submitted each day burning continues.
Once you complete the online form, your permit will be emailed to you. This email serves as confirmation that: You are burning on the day of your permit application, the burn is taking place within Ashland city limits, you understand which materials are permitted to be burned, and you accept the liability that burning may impose if not properly managed.

NOTICE
The recent rain and snow have temporarily alleviated some of the fire danger we were experiencing after many weeks with no precipitation earlier this year. However, if dry conditions return, we may close outdoor burning at any point. Updates will be posted on the City website.
