Youth Conservation Corps

Each year Ashland Parks & Recreation offers an opportunity for the youth of the Rogue Valley to participate in restoration and riparian work in Ashland parks and trails during our summer Youth Conservation Corps (YCC).

Space is limited to 12 students per session, 8th-12th graders. 

Two sessions of YCC will run in June 2026. Each session will be Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 12:30pm. 

Session 1     June 8-12

Session 2    June 22-26

Youth Conservation Corps

Incoming 8th through 12th graders 

will spend a week performing a variety of parks and trails maintenance tasks including invasive species removal, trail chipping, hand watering newly planted native species and shoring up well-used hiking trails. 

Earn Academic Community Service Hours

After successfully completing the program, participants will earn 20 hours of academic community service per session plus recreation passes to the Ashland Rotary Centennial Ice Rink and Daniel Meyer Pool.
